6 Easy Fruity Dump Cakes

1. Apple Dump Cake

Serves 12 | Prep. Time 15 min | Cooking time 35 min 

Ingredients 

  • Butter or cooking spray for greasing 
  • For the fruit filling 6 apples, cored, peeled, and diced into cubes 
  • ½ cup granulated sugar 
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 
  • 2 ½ tablespoons vanilla pudding powder For the cake 1 cup granulated sugar 
  • 1¼ cups all-purpose flour 
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder Pinch of kosher salt
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter, melted 
  • Vanilla ice cream, to serve 

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and place the oven rack in the middle position. 
  2. Grease a 9×13 baking dish with butter or cooking spray. 
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the apples, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla pudding powder. 
  4. Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish. 
  5. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. 
  6. Evenly sprinkle the flour mixture over the fruit mixture. 
  7. Evenly drizzle the melted butter over the flour mixture. 
  8. Bake for about 35 to 40 minutes or until the fruit is bubbly and the crust is golden brown.
  9. Serve right away with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
